Hey, when hand-panting large areas  of your models (ex. leg armor, chest, shield)..what size brushes are you using?  And what type of brush shape works best.

see brush shape:

I'm thinking the fan shape would work best, since it's thin and it won't clumbs together when it loaded w/ paint like a round shape would.
I have used this methods in this tread with great results....manged to paint the gold on the Sinanju using only Tamiya paint, small tip brush and toothpicks (no masking).  Tried painting large area of the frame using a round shape brush.....was working as i thought and figured spray cans are my only option for painting large areas (don't own an AB).  But seeing what you have done with your models...i can see spray can is not my only option.  But curious how you manage to paint the large area on your models.

thanks

Nice! Ultimately, use what you feel comfortable with. I have a tendency to use smaller brushes, but I'm a bit crazy, too.  ;D
When the going gets tough, the weird go pro.

Hello,

I'm having trouble getting the correct color for red tamiya acrylic. I have been experimenting with the ratio of the mix of thinner and paint. But almost all of them are looking colored orange and not red. Any advise on this? I'm not sure if the alcohol itself is the reason why it's getting this color. I'm using 70% alcohol as thinner. Any help will do. Thanks!
