Looks like you did a great job of capturing Char's colors. What brand paints are you using?

thanks,
all are enamels by humroll and model master. Spended lots of time and colors to make the red close to strange char' reds. the darkest yet not seems correct. i'll try to adjust whit the wheatering. This is my fist mg i hope to not ruin it.
Tips and ideas are welcome.

below my last work stopped from 1998 and finished (with a wessex)last 4 weeks. This hobby is a mix of hurry and relax: too speed makes ugly results, too relax don't make results.... find the right way specially with your zaku, remind that is an hobby not a work with endlines

Tips and ideas are welcome.

updates

foots holed

foots mechanism in detail. I've sanded all the signs of the molds, looks more realistics i hope.

Improving rifle (the black is from mg ms-06r-1a as oob). make holes with drill and sanded. the barrell was rescribbed and improved whit the x-acto back of blade

The head modify:

The original clear part is replaced:

Monoeye rails modelled with milliput putty. I like this version of rails in general:

280 mm bazooka primed with matt black, good base for highlighting with dry brushed gray (this is my way)

All the colors used are enamels thinned with industrial thinner (2€ 1,5 lt.)

The Zaku looks good. I have this kit so I'll watch your build for ideas.

Also ditto the thanks to alkaiser for the color translation. Those are difficult colors to match.

Thanks funaka.
I'm not tryng to exagerate at this time with the kit is try to finish it closely to tv show that i see more than 25 years ago.
This is my first MG and triyng also to keep the armor opening.
For damned reasons the original show (0079) was imported illegally and on air illegally!!!
after legal problems with bandai no other gundam series have imported in italy till the "gundam wings", then an approved version of 0079 ....and after.... no others.

So now to modelling

Tips and ideas are welcome.

I hate the stickers you get with Bandai kits these days. :(  Even Dry Transfers would be better...  I usually get custom decals from www.samueldecal.com now.
Also, I think the red colour's looking great. :D  I can't wait to see this assembled again, with all the little mods you've done.
