judge related stuff.
« on: January 26, 2009, 07:34:56 am »
i think bakuc should have like a judge's expedition or something. like show off the judge's models and a competition between the judges. that would be so awesome. then it would give people a sense of how skilled the judges are. Insight and opinions pls?

both? iono but it would seem pretty cool. in breakdance battles, the judges would do a showcase bfore the battle to prove their skills and show off how good they are and y they deserve to judge. i believe that would seem pretty nice in bakuc too, seeing as it is a competition. and besides it would give the judges a sense of competition amongst themselves....

While I can certainly see the relevance of comparing a breakdance battle to a modeling competition...
(that "chirp, chirp, chirp" is the sound of crickets)

... I'm not sure how much point there would be to it. The absolute best modeling judges I've known haven't actually produced models--themselves--in years. That doesn't diminish their modeling skills or their ability to judge. And I can tell you right now that, on a scale of 1 to 10 around here, my best works probably rank a high 7 (maybe a low 8). Then again, I'm a ridiculously harsh critic when it comes to actually judging a model.

Rest assured that the judges involved in the BAKUC site are all experienced modelers and experienced model judges. We didn't just fall arse-backwards into this position. There's a reason we're here.
When the going gets tough, the weird go pro.
