BAKUC 2008 Hong Kong Photos!

Hey Everyone!

I finally got around to sifting through some of my pictures, and have a few to share. I will post more as I get through editing them, but here are a few to start with:

Welcoming banner after getting off the airplane at Hong Kong Airport.


There was a surprising amount of Christmas decorations all over, one of the better examples in the arrival terminal at the airport.


Cool bridge on the way into Hong Kong.


One of the many ferrys that goes from mainland Hong Kong to Hong Kong Island.


Huge apartment/condo/highrise complex ON TOP of a huge 6 story shopping mall.


The Royal Pacific Hotel and Towers. My home away from home for the 5 days. Really nice hotel, I would recommend it to anyone visiting HK.


The famous skyline of Hong Kong Island.


Canton Road, viewed from the skybridge that connected my hotel to Kowloon Park.

Mong Kok shopping district at night. This was where the majority of the hobby/figure shops were located.

The model made it safe and sound! No major touch ups or repairs needed.

Awesome AoZ themed Marasai with some really neat mods.


The first place winners entry. Kampfer with super cool display base featuring a wrecked Zeong.




The entry from Malaysia, 1/35 UCHG Zaku head with scratchbuilt display dio. Very cool guy, ended up hanging out with him the remainder of the trip.


The 2nd place winners entry, really nice MG Zeong.

Jesus Hong Kong is beautiful! Did you manage to buy some Gundam models? I always seem to have the Rush Hour theme song in my head whenever i read anything Hong Kong, which is too cool!

And yes your model looks uber excellent !

Fantastic photos! Thanks for sharing this--it's a really unique insight into the BAKUC that most of us (myself included) have never--and probably will never experience.

Can't wait to see the next batch of photos!
