Copyright should always be taken seriously. It is stealing. Downloading is stealing! Remember those ads..

Copywrite too is important to people's written work, we should quote copywritten material aswell. Should we have examples of Quotation styles here?

It's frustrating though when something is just getting licensed, and then downloading it becomes illegal. Gurren Laggan is only legally available in English on one DVD so far. It's sort of a catch-22 because you're not allowed to get the rest unless it's in Japanese format.
Believe in me, who believes in you.

downloading anything (licensed in the u.s. or not) without the consent of the producers or outfits that owns the show IS illegal.

True! Japan is cracking it due to anime cons and groups screening licensed/ unlicensed material. They have set up an goverment office of anime affaires to help other nations hold cons and screen anime in a legal matter. But like I always say its only illegal if your are caught...

As the official North American BAKUC website, we cannot--in any way, shape, or form--support the illegal download industry. That's the bottom line.  :)

We cannot control (nor do we want to control) what you do on your own time, with your own resources. We just ask that you do not post anything regarding torrents or downloads of, or discussion of where to obtain illegal copies/bootlegs.

Thank you.

Furthermore, allla in particular, posting links to copyrighted materials on YouTube (or elsewhere) is also not allowed and against our policy here. This is a banable offense and action will be taken if it continues.
