I'm 18, but due to college my funds are stretched thin.

When I was in high school, my parents gave me money for lunch. Since I hated the school food, I used to buy something at the snackbar to hold me over and pocket the rest. After a few weeks of this practice, I had money that I could use on whatever. If your parents give you luch money then I'd recommend that route along with finding whatever work you can. There's got to be stuff around your neighborhood that you can do? Mow lawns maybe?

O my god I do that. It adds up and you don't kill your inner organs with toxins such a win win situation. Other than that i'd buy candy such as gum packs, soda and sell it out of my locker to my friends. YOu buy big packs sell the stuff for a buck or two and you make a profit. You can also get a job :-D

I'm 14 too. workin at home is a rip off.(working by doin chores for 2 weeks and gettin paid 70 dollars)

problem with that is all chores must be finished when father is home while still trying to work with my mom's hour favors!

It really makes me just wait till my birthdays.  >:(  In Texas, is there anything that will let children work who are 14?
My way of money now is takin care of my mother. ;)

Save up money around $4 or 5 everyday.  At the end of the month you'll have enough money to buy models.  Alternatively try to find odd summer jobs such as becoming a paperboy, selling scrap paper to recycling facilities or junk-shops, and just about anything you think your good at.

i fortunately (well, duno if fortunately :P ) my bro worked at pizza hut as a shift supervisor... as soon as i hit the legal age to work, he says to me one day 'ur working at pizza hut'... wth m i supposed to say tehre :P . i got a AUD$9/hr casual pay. i would alwayz look fwd to fridays when the payslip comes in... $100!!!!! ZOMG!!! SOOO MUCH!! but over time, u sorta learn to save it up n stuff. i managed to save up $500 for a ps2 w/ ffx! i mean, it may b little pay, but budgeting is a MUST!!! learn while ur young >_< . itll become necessary when ur older :P .

main ques i alwayz ask myself when i buy sumfin: 'do i REALLY need it... like srsly' cauz most of the time, u wont need it :P . theres alwayz cheaper alternatives. i sorta regret buying an ab n compressor. but i already did >_< . but yeh... lil chores here n there, setting up goals n sticking to them... u will surely b able to save n buy the MG u have alwayz been wanting ^_^ .

when ur young, u dont have compulsary payments per week/fortnight/month... so thats a plus ^_^ . n if ur living at home, u get free meals! and a place to sleep! i need to pay for all that (ie. ive moved away from home). well, hopin thats ur situation :S . but newayz...

conclusion: save/budget money, set attainable goals., check whether u REALLY need it or not.

Cool holding a garage sale isn't also bad since you can clear up space for unwanted stuff while making cash.  Another cool job will be reviewing, yup reviewing ;).  Just improve and post video or written reviews online about stuff (movies, toys, games, etc.), and once a sponsor spots you in you'll have enough mollah and free stuff to boot (I do think the reviews at CollectorsDX first started in this way and ended up being sponsored by Angolz)

Well I do reviews on youtube myself, video game, model, music, and movie reviews. Along with rants and such. And just to say most reviewers don't get sponsored on youtube lol. Just throwing that out there so don't get too excited about oh im gonna get sponsored if i do reviews, their aren't many reviewers who are sponsored to begin with

Actually there are namely:  CollectorsDX (Remember these guys are a group so all of the reviewers in that group are sponsored by Angolz), Dalong (yeah he has sponsors as he said when he showed his cabinet collection), 2Old4Toys (yeah he also is sponsored by iShop2go, thus he urges people to buy from there), and many more.

Like I said, improve and post on the net and remember that sponsors just don't magically pop-out when you do a review, it takes effort and skill to catch their attention
