What anime are you watching right now...

Bamboo Blade ep. 4: and it is awesome being into kendo my self I love all the jokes and traits, need to find more...

G Gundam ep. 40 odd: alot different from other Gundam Shows it great but I would under stand why some wouldn't like it...

Karin ep. 12 Its ok but I stoped watching it to watch G Gundam...

Soon to watch Figure 17, Rakugo Tennyo Oyui and Gundam War in Pocket. Any body else...

Bleach, not as avid of a anime fan as I used to be, couple months ago watched Death Note (whole series) and Gundam 0080 (again)

"Death Note" is the only anime I've been watching for the past few months. I think you really need to catch it from the beginning to appreciate (I hesitate to use that phrasing) most of what's going on, but it's just the most brilliant series (anime or otherwise) I've seen in a long, long time.

"Death Note" is the only anime I've been watching for the past few months. I think you really need to catch it from the beginning to appreciate (I hesitate to use that phrasing) most of what's going on, but it's just the most brilliant series (anime or otherwise) I've seen in a long, long time.

DeathNote is brilliant from the beginning, and watching it in Japanese, with subtitles makes it even better because it's as close as you get to the original without knowing Japaneses. It's definitely for a more mature audience, and a nice breath of fresh air to most of the American stupid TV. I like shows where I actually have to think...

The only thing that bugged me about Deathnote, was they translated his name to "light" when it was Raito, I don't care who you are, what country you are in, your name is your name, and you don't translate it directly, thats like if I where to move somewhere and they referred to me as "joke sheephearder" in their native language, and since you can all see my name you can guess what parts go where. XD

I bought all of the Dragon Ball movies in a DVD box set for $13 the other day...

So my girlfriend got this anime called Code Geass.
At first I was reluctant to watch because the designer is CLAMP and I dont care for their work too much, and she is totally obsessed with it, but come to my surprise, I'm addicted! It's got mecha, magic, and hotties! What more can you ask for? Anyway, the story is great, Britain is the world power and Japan is like this ghetto because the brits hate them I guess. The best part is though, the mecha are awesome, I love the grunts, and plan on building one in the future because I liked them that much.

Also, I just finished the Zeta Trilogy a few days ago... somewhat disappointing, but at the same time... very satisfied. Weird eh? Well, the didn't re-animate the whole thing, just the awesome battles, which isn't too bad, but for anyone who has never seen Zeta they will be like: Bore.... Also, the story is very choppy since it's the series condensed into a small can that you put into your freezer to later make juice out of. No JK, but it's very cut up, a lot of big events where totally removed, and the Deija isn't even in it! But... I like it XD

CLAMP has made some really good shows (besides that loli magic girl stuff you want to stay away from) xxx Holics is really interesting and falls into another show called Tsubasa (only seen 1ep and want to see more). Chobits is a funny perverted anime with 'hotties', goes well with the guys. Mokona is an awsome charater (been in several shows) and the only two plushies (the black and white one) I have and will ever own. Plus don't forget they started out with blood and guts stuff like 'X' which was bad. I probly should finish Code Geass, watched it in bits with my anime club...

Update: Bamboo Blade ep 12, Karin 3eps to go (might finish it tonight) and finished G Gundam a bit back...

Yeah, dont get me wrong, I like some of CLAMPs work, X was decent, Chobits was good, and Tsubasa is interesting, I'm just not a fan of the drawing style, the people are so unproportionate, but thats why I dont like anime so much, so I guess thats just me. Besides, I'm an art student so I see all the flaws of anime design. XD

Dubs really don't bother me that much. Ever since I watched "Those Who Hunt Elves" in the dub and then in the sub... I decided that localization isn't always a bad thing. In fact, in some instances it can really improve the content without detracting from the story. Besides, it's really hard to watch subtitles while trying to paint a 1:144 German Tiger tank.
