"Kit Review" Rules!
« on: April 11, 2008, 06:19:39 am »
In addition to the regular Forum Rules, we ask that there only be one thread per kit. This includes any special edition variations of said kit (like the regular Zaku and the "Indiana Zaku and the Crystal Armor" edition being in the same thread, etc.).

If you want to write about a kit you've put together, please do so here. If you're going to do a kit review, the following tips may be helpful:

  • Try to do a spelling and grammar check prior to posting.
  • Include the line of the kit (HGUC, EX, MG, PG, etc.), or the scale, if applicable.
  • Talk about the complexity of the kit. Does it have an inner frame? Is it a transformable kit, like the Zeta?
  • Talk about the assembly of the kit. Was the parts fit good? What about the seams? Visible? Easily fixed?
  • Pictures are nice, but not necessary to make the review.
  • Give us your conclusion about the kit. If you had the opportunity, would you build another one? Would your recommend this to other modelers?

As always, we're looking at the quality of your words over the quantity. A concise, well-written review is going to look much better than a long review that really only tells the reader how long you waited for the retailer to get the kit in-stock and how you sat by the door waiting for the mail delivery.

If you would like to do a review--or add any comments from your own experience--about a kit that's already been reviewed, you are highly encouraged to do so! Just remember to keep this civil (within the rules) if you have a different opinion of the kit.

Thanks, and have fun!
