Guncannon Diorama
« on: March 26, 2008, 01:42:01 am »
Starting my new build, a small diorama featuring a Guncannon and a Zaku :

So far both kits a test fitted and planning has begun for the scene (which will be a semi-serious semi-light hearted one) and possible modifications to the Guncannon to suit the scene.

Update :

Made some modifications to the Zaku to allow for easier seam removal and painting :

Also worked out the basic layout of the scene.

I plan to have the Zaku done over the weekend - I'll see how I go, nothing ever pans out like I want!

Looks like a good start.  Poor defenseless Zaku!

Small update - more damage has been done to the Zaku and I've modified the power cables a little to allow for a more natural pose in the scene :

Another quick update so you can see where I am at with the Zaku :

It's partly weathered now. I just have to finish off the chips and melted parts and then I can move onto the Guncannon.

Can't wait to see this finished.  Looks great so far!  Nice to see the Guncannon get some recognition.

I've been watching this and have never commented for some reason. I really like what you've done so far. The attention to detail is incredible and everything feels like it's very well thought out. I can't wait to see the finished piece.
A boxed model kit is like your dreams. They'll never be what you want them to be unless you make it happen.
