I'm inspired by all the other models I see on the web and my hobby store display.
A boxed model kit is like your dreams. They'll never be what you want them to be unless you make it happen.

I am consistently inspired by the forerunners of Gunpla in th 1980s. Whenever I see old model magazines I am blown away by the skill of those builders who did not have the crutch of colour separation and MG quality models. Yet they were able to take those kits which most modelers would think is junk today and turn them into amazing works.
And now... In anticipation of your insight into the future...

I agree. Most modelers just don't understand how good we have compared to modelers from 30 years ago, I mean, just look at the materials we have at our disposal. Endless paint palletes, Aves products, MIG pigments just to name a few.

To build a few very old and poorly made kits are a real challenge but I still have the option to pick up a new kit today. This is what these guys only knew...

Model expo's and comps really sends the wind up me and inspires me to do much better the following year. This site and those model expo clips are also a great source of ideas and inspiration. I also like to buy Hobby Japan mags for the lastest in figures models and some great modelers show casing there stuff. But Robo is right a model in person is a much better rush then in media like videos and pictures. Im not to sure about music but live music reall does give people a warm feeling inside (might help with modeling or what no)...

Allla, I do not see where you can make a connection with modeling, Japanese mechs and My Chemical Romance but if it works it works...

Yeah, I'm still trying to figure out how he made the connection between Gundams and MCR. However, this is alllla we're talking about and that means logic has no boundaries!

Its not really a connection, more like a mood...I get in the mood to build...and both put me in a good mood...so...y'know...

Okay, I'll give it a try, but if it sounds even the slightest bit emo, I'm gonna be so pissed!

Along with Iron Maiden try Paramore, Nightwish, Godsmack, Breaking Benjamin, Three Days Grace, Rush, and Led Zeppelin.
