RX-78-2 Ver OYW 1/100 MG

Hello all, this will be my 1st post here.  I am currently building the Gunpla RX-78-2 Ver. OYW, MG.  This has been an enjoyable kit so far w/no problems.  I am pretty much building OOB w/no additions other than replacing decals w/water slide.  Model will be painted w/shading.  Hope you enjoy.  [img]

Hello ichi glad to see you reply, thought maybe no one interested.  Know this figure is the one it all started with, and has been done alot.  But all in all, it is one of my fav's

Maybe you meant this in a different sense than I interpreted it - but this is not "the one it all started with"...  this kit came out five years ago.

No that is not the way I meant it, I am aware of the date of release for this kit, but I do believe the RX-78 was the start of the MFS f/E.F.S.F.  That is what I was saying, even though we all know it has been done in many forms!  Thanks for your reply.

Up date for the build.  You will notice a shield in the back ground.  This is the shield that comes with the 1/48 RX-78.  This is a big Gundam and I will post when I build, but I do not plain to build as the standard version.

Hello all, some progress to post.  1st painted all the frame, primary weapons and backpack w/Tamiya Panzer Gray.  Turned out very nice.  Now will work on the white armour parts starting w/the head.  One mod I am looking @ is redoing the Vulcan's.

OK...  I figured probably that was the case but I thought it was an odd way of phrasing it...

Anyway, I look forward to seeing how this turns out...  And that 1:48, too!

Received a order from mechaskunk and purchased the rest of the needed paint to finish this fella up.  I plain to seal the frame and add the over spray light color, small amount of weathering, only those areas you see exposed between the armor.  Then I will start on the armor.  Hope to have this puppy pretty well completely painted by this weekend if all goes well.

Today's up-date, frame weathered and hands, hand painted w/vallego neutral gray.  Frame was dry brushed using a new stiff toothbrush and Tamiya Titanium Silver.  Prepping feet pads now f/Tamiya Red TS-49.
