Enamel Sprays
« on: March 07, 2010, 01:00:51 am »
Hi, I've recently started to paint a few parts of the kits I do (mainly just the weapons) to try it out. Unfortunately, the only acrylic sprays avaible here are black and white GW shop ones- but there are a huge variety of enamel sprays. Is it ok to use enamel sprays on gundam models, and if so, should I prime it with acrylic first?

Of coarse, enamel is perfectly safe on styrene and as an added bonus it will dry harder and protect your kit. Primer normally comes in lacquer but if you mean to use GW citadel spray acrylic paint should be fine. But make sure to test this combo on some scrap plastic before using it on your model. Let us know how it goes...

Wow, thanks for the quick reply! I'll order a 1/144 HG to try some stuff out, then I'll start my MG Exia.
