The longevity of paint on painted models

Just wondering how long does the paint on a model last when acylics, primer and top coat are correctly used. If the model is kept in a clear glass cabinet, would the look last a lifetime?

i think its will last long... as long it also prevent from sulight which will affects the color... using UV protection coat will helps a lot...
