Not so much nervous. I've become patient with some things. Painting is just another part of the process. I don't usually get nervous, just excited. Thanks for the vote of confidence though. :) Im sure it canbe done to my satisfaction. If not the first time then there is always sandpaper. Hehe.

Today I focused on finishing the ankle armor and the sword frame.  The sword still needs to be filled in and detailed, but the shape is done.  The ankle armor is good, but needs to have the small vulcans added.  I will probably do the shoulder tomorrow time permitting, and maybe start the rifle, or mayhaps just make the other hip skirt armor.  I can't just cast that as it's the opposite of the other side.  The legs are pretty symmetrical so they will work I think but the hip not so much.  I am happy with the progress so far.  I also need to modify the head to have a much taller head laser and etch the tear lines under the eyes.  I am pretty satisfied at the amount of progress I have made so far in a relatively short amount of time in comparison to my V'Trall. (protometriks standard engagement WIP)  I hope my next build the Grou-Mo is equally fast and pleasing.  Well enjoy!

looks realy nice, the only thighs that bugs me is the sensor in the crotch, somehow it doesn't seem to fit, maybe adding a few samller ones in the lower torso? don't know. The other thing is the sword as much as I like the desgin I think that one edged (not double edge like this one) would be better, but those are just my rambling so in the end it's your call :D

Yeah the blue in the crotch might need to be reshaped. I think I gotcha on the sword thing, it looks like a mobile suit that would be more of a quick one hit offensive type. I just don't see it working with a one edged sword for some reason. Would remind me too much of an Astray I think. I do see what you mean though.

Hehe thanks. If you want it I can send if to ya. :). I am still workin on the head idea. I liked the angles just not the facemask part. I did like the large ridge though. I'm still uncertain on it.

Tonight I did a primer coat to see where to go next.  I still need to make the shoulder pad and the other hip skirt, but after that maybe just casting and painting.  Maybe some little details on the legs.  It does look like it was made this way though so far with the primer and I like it.  Well enjoy!

I decided today that the gundam like head had to go.  I am trying to make a somewhat original design despite using some gundam parts, and I needed to have something different for the head.  I decided to go with a vertical slit for a head.  Similar to the slit on a helmet but with a mix of neat mecha eye.  I drew out a change to the line drawing, and then I went and made something close to it.  I also realized today after doing this that I need to change the knee a little.  Detail up and all.  The 3mm blue LED is great I think and it makes me feel good about the next part of making the crotch power core glow.  Well I still need to work on parts of this model before I cast the other side.  I want something different for my movie mecha but without totally scratchbuilding this may be my desirable alternative.  I need to also do the shoulders.  My thoughts are scattered, I'm starving.  hehe.  Enjoy!

Thanks Aulon and MR_M.  You guys are too kind.  I appreciate the positive feedback.  hehe.  I was fretting over finding a head design that would work and fit, I'm glad somebody else thinks it works.  I just don't want people watching my production and sayin "Man that looks like a strike gundam, or man that's a zaku."  I know I'm using gundams as the frame, but I haven't done a complete scratch build yet, and to actually get something done for filming I don't know if I will do a scratch build until after my 5 are done.  (vtrall, gelbrecht, gaedrigg, cairn freya, cairn loki) You guys are great though, makes for a good day!

I redid the chest again and added some bar grips for the space pilots to grab onto. I detailed it up some and changed the chest to look better IMO. I made the other hip skirt, and sealed up most of the exposed chest space. I used some more cast replicated cylinder parts from one of the resin kits I bought for the waist. I also detailed the head up some. The lens is still removable as well. Good for painting, which I might start tomorrow. This mecha is almost done. I'm excited. Enjoy!

Tonight I filled a few gaps and started priming.  There are many pits to be filled still and things to make perfect.  I am quite fond of this mecha.  I think it's turning out great.  Well for tonight enjoy!
