That's bullshit man the 2 years i choose to enter and all this [inappropriate language] happens: No Prize for winning and now not even the category i entered in was included in the fucking contest.

Yeah... obviously you're a junior. An adult would know how to interact politely with other adults. Be aware that your behavior is against this forums guidelines and further outbursts will be dealt with as per out forum policies.

While i can not defend his method of dealing with the situation , he somewhat has a point . Mainly the content of this site . if there are not monthly contests , it probally should not say so . One could simply change a few things as they are presented to better reflect reality as there is plenty of inaccurite info on the site. So i can see how he is frustrated . Granted I dont know who has the power over such things , but a great deal of the data here is misleading

Yeah... He didn't exactly deal with that well. However, on a related note, we ARE attempting to correct the oversight regarding last year's prizes. If you won a contest here, but have not received a prize, please contact me with the information regarding which contest you won, your shipping address and your hobbywave.com account username (if you have one).

And I'll be contacting Calvin directly. Although he didn't exactly deal with the situation in a diplomatic manner, we do want to make things right for last year.

I apologize for the way I acted but I was just frustrated. Thank you for clearing up the problem and calmly messaing me about the issue. Lately i have been having some family issues and i entered the contest because i thought it might make me feel better and only to find out that its not happening. i felt like i was being ignored so maybe that was the cause of my outburst of inappropriate behaviour. I deeply apologize again for my actions.

Your frustration is understandable, and we're certainly responsible for some of it. Now that things have settled a bit, we can look forward to a shiny new decade (2010), and a great year of modeling. Encourage your fellow modelers (and non-modelers!) to participate in the BAKUC semi-final this year!

All the winners are listed in the first post of this thread. To be honest, we did not receive anywhere close to the same number of entries that we'd received in previous years, and we partially blame ourselves. We're going to try to do a little better at promoting this in 2010.

Well, we're going to take a hard look at things in 2010, but I'm sure it will depend on the level of participation and the number of entries--so spread the word!!!

I have one more question, is there ever going to be any "random draws" ?

All I can say to that is "maybe"... If we did do something like that, it would probaby be as a part of another model contest--and not just a random draw of whoever sticks their name in a hat at a particular time.
