A bootleg is still a bootleg. Even if its quality rises, its prices will still rise. Even if it can up quality wihout uping prices, Bandai, being a big company, will probably get ahold of the technology before the bootlegging companies. Bootlegs, no matter what, will never affect significantly affect sales. After all, Gundam is more widespeard than bootlegs. That's the reason why Bandai is still around even after a long time.

Yeah. No need for anybody to get banned or anything. If people blindly follow something, then it's their problem if they get a crappy looking kit. Oh heck, due to the quality of those kits, people only at most buy them once because they've learned their lesson. Only an idiot would buy another one. So these bootlegs aren't too much of a problem.
